FAQ: Data Center
1. What standards do you follow when designing a data center?
We design and build data centers compliant with TIA-942 and EN 50600, the leading international standards for infrastructure reliability, resilience, and security. We manage the entire project lifecycle — audit, detailed design, construction management, testing, and certification — giving you a single point of responsibility from concept to commissioning, with no handovers that could cause delays or miscommunication.
2. What kind of clients do you work with?
We work with enterprise-scale organizations: industrial companies, airport infrastructure, and, since 2019, a global hyperscaler for whom we handle ongoing implementation and maintenance. This means our processes are already proven on complex projects with demanding uptime and security requirements — the same level of attention we bring to every client, regardless of project size.
3. What certifications does DIME hold?
We are certified ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management), as well as ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety). For information security, we hold ISO 27001:2013 certification — the internationally recognized standard for data protection, particularly relevant for anyone entrusting us with data center management. We are also certified ISO 37001:2016 (anti-bribery management systems) and UNI PDR 125:2022 (gender equality), and hold SOA qualification — the mandatory Italian certification for contractors executing public works, confirming our track record and financial/technical capacity on public-sector projects. A commitment to transparency and quality that covers every aspect of our business, not just the technical side.
4. Do you also handle maintenance after testing and commissioning?
Yes, our relationship with the client doesn’t end at commissioning. We offer after-sales support, continuous infrastructure monitoring, and dedicated on-call contracts with SLAs, so we can respond quickly to any issue and minimize the risk of downtime.
5. Do you also handle cabling and network equipment, or just the facility systems?
We cover the entire infrastructure, so there’s no need to coordinate multiple suppliers: high-speed structured copper and fiber cabling (40/100 Gbps), leading-brand network equipment, plus cooling, power distribution, and physical and logical security. One team, one point of contact, for the whole project.
6. How long does it take to build a data center?
When do you need it by? We’ll make it happen. Timelines depend on project complexity and scope, and we define them precisely together during the feasibility audit — but meeting your deadline is part of how we work.
7. Are you compliant with the NIS2 directive?
Yes. As a provider of cybersecurity services to critical infrastructure operators, we are subject to the NIS2 directive and are fully compliant — a requirement we apply to ourselves first, to safeguard the security of our clients’ entire supply chain.
